Local independent producer David McDonald recently returned to Grand Rapids, Minnesota after serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco from 2012 to 2014. During his service, he interviewed over 40 fellow Peace Corps Volunteers as well as recorded a fascinating variety of audio from all over Morocco.

Capsule 4 was recorded earlier this year in New York for Summer 2019 fashions. Episode 30 starts off season 4 of the UnCommonCore Podcast with the same trade show that began the Trade Show Series: Capsule - now partnered with Cabana for the Cabana+Capsule Show. We choose these shows to highlight NewYork Fashion because the Capsule+Cabana show features a rich eclectic mix of new and well established brands and designers that are both local to New York and Internationally known. Students from Martin Middle School in Austin, Texas produced these radio stories with assistance from Texas Folklife for the Stories from Deep in the Heart program.

In October 2017, Texas Folklife worked with a group of students at Hogg Middle School in Houston, Texas. These are the finished stories - a diverse medley of pieces reflecting the communities of Houston.

The 2016 ShortDocs Challenge, in partnership with Manual Cinema (a cinematic shadow puppet performance collective), invited two to three-minute long stories inspired by the cinema and one of four genres: Rom-Com, Sci-Fi, Film Noir and Nature Doc.
