Overcoming drug addiction: From dropout to distinguished scholar

Homeless. Malnourished. Addicted. Here is a story of a teenager from a traditional family in the Deep South who made some choices that ultimately led him to the brink of death. We learn about his setbacks in rehabilitation and the people who helped him get to where he is today: a distinguished scholar in the biochemistry and molecular biophysics Ph.D. program at University of Pennsylvania.
