A look at the spread of Crystal Methamphetamine in Georgia.

Use of Crystal Methamphetamine in the USA is growing. In no place is that more apparent than in Georgia. Over the last four years the state has seen the use of the drug spread like a cancer through the north-east and south-west parts of the state.

From 1995 to 2002 there was a 67-percent increase of people in Atlanta hospitals with some trace of Crystal Methamphetamine in their system.

During 2003, over 400-meth labs were raided by law enforcement across the state.

David Barasoain (BEAR-es-wayne) reports.
