New podcast featuring Kyle Bauer and Pete Smith that dives into the issues, stories and people of the Detroit area during this transformative period in the city's history.

After years of hope, controversy and speculation, the embattled city of Detroit is finally experiencing a renaissance. As a boom affluence and youthful energy fills downtown and surrounding enclaves, majority of the city residences continue to face poverty, crime, utility shutoffs and foreclosures.

Hosted by Kyle Bauer and Pete Smith, Midtown to Metro examines the city's transformation by looking at its past, present and future, finding perspective often overlooked in the whitewashing of corporate and national media outlets. You'll hear some debate and some stories from people who have endured the city or escaped it and others seeking a fresh start.
