In May 2012, 23 high school students from various Pittsburgh Public Schools were interviewed about graduation, education and what it takes to succeed. The following Themes and Student Stories have been culled from these interviews, and demonstrate a wide range of experiences, emotions and perspectives.

These features are a part of the Graduation Champions Campaign, an initiative of The Neighborhood Learning Alliance and United Way of Allegheny County, which is founded in the belief that everyone can contribute to the success of our communities’ students; everyone can be a champion. neighborhoodlearning.org
