Health & Justice Project

In the current debate on healthcare reform there are a lot of statistics and studies; a lot of back and forth about constitutionality and cost, but what is often missing are the stories of everyday Americans and their personal struggles with finding the healthcare they need. Health & Justice Project is an ongoing effort to share those stories and to inspire action on the local and national level.

The project is a collaboration between Jericho Road Family Practice, their sister organization Jericho Road Ministries, and The Recollective, a group of independent producers from around the country. We came together with the common goal that one day all people will enjoy quality, affordable healthcare regardless of their economic status.

While we believe in the power of storytelling we also know that powerful stories must be paired with strategic action, so we’ve partnered with Causes.com, the world’s largest online platform for activism, to empower individuals to demand the radical changes needed in our healthcare system today. We’ll use Facebook, Twitter and other social media to share stories, collect more stories, and post petitions, pledges and resources to spread our message that healthcare is not a privilege but an inalienable human right.
