As I dig through the decades of audio tape archived at City Lore I uncover rare talents, authentic stories, and surprising continuities. They come together in these explorations of living culture.
City Lore is a New York non-profit dedicated to the preservation of living culture in all it's forms. I gained access to their catalog through volunteer work and have begun composing this series as an exploration of their parallels and divergences. It's an ethnographic dream-scape that will only become more artful as the archive becomes more well known to me.
