About the Show:

Originally hosted by John DeSando and Clay Lowe, It’s Movie Time made its debut on Columbus, Ohio’s WCBE (90.5 FM) in 2001, airing each Friday at 3:01 and 8:01 p.m. The show garnered a number of awards, including Communicator and Silver Microphone honors.

When Clay left the show in January of 2009, Kristin Dreyer Kramer (formerly a regular guest host) took over as John’s co-host, bringing a new dynamic (and a new demographic) to the show.

At that time, the pair also began hosting an additional weekly show, On the Marquee, which covers the latest theatrical and video releases in Columbus. Originally a weekly podcast, On the Marquee currently airs at 9:01 each Sunday morning on WCBE.

About the Format

Each week on It’s Movie Time, John and Kristin review two or three of the week’s latest theatrical releases—from big-budget blockbusters to little-known indies. Each show includes short reviews of the week’s movies, followed by the critics’ grades.

John and Kristin’s sharp writing and easy-going chemistry make the show both informative and entertaining—which is why they’ve won so many awards.

About the Hosts:

John DeSando holds a Ph.D. in English and enjoys long, heavy dramas, anything British, and the occasional shallow action movie.

Kristin Dreyer Kramer is the editor-in-chief of NightsAndWeekends.com, an online publication that features reviews of movies, books, music, and games. She loves clever comedies, anything Scandinavian, and the occasional geeky fanboy movie.

About the Awards:
