A program dedicated to exploring Maryland's great resources and issues that impact those resources.

From the Chesapeake Bay to the hills of Western Maryland, the border state has among the most biodiversity of any state in the nation. The Chesapeake Bay is the second largest estuary in the world; there is more variety of bird and butterfly, frog and fish, manatee and mole on our land and in our water than almost any other place on earth. Simultaneously, Maryland is home to a melting pot of cultures, from the watermen?s culture of the Eastern Shore to the cultural diversity of the metropolis of Baltimore. Natural Maryland is a monthly podcast that focuses on the intersection of nature and culture that makes our state so unique. WYPR is partnering with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for this podcast.
