Live Contemporary Buffalo Music Concerts

WBFO On the Border's Wednesday Night Concert series is a labor of love from Buffalo, New York--a post industrial steel town with a surprisingly thriving music scene.

We have over 50 shows we're uploading, so please consider as a weekly series.

Forbes declared Buffalo one of the US's ten fastest dying cities, but our local music scene is expanding --the high quality of life and low cost of living attract all kinds of artists and art-lovers in kind.

Buffalo is the home of the finest gypsy jazz band in the country, Babik, and to Edrys, our hip hop poet from Buffalo's East Side. Both played SRO shows this year.

The crew took the series out to Buffalo neighborhoods this summer, where the honkiest, tonkiest joint in town opened up a family friendly back yard for us, and you'll hear concerts from the heart of Riverside.

All of these 53 minute concerts with separate 1 minute intro files are hosted, with 2 interview segments woven into the 5 set format.

They're recorded live, most in our 200 seat studio theater on the UB campus, and we make them free, family friendly, and open to the public. No explicit language. Hide full description
