This program features an overview of notable songwriting teams from the Brill Building era.  Examples incule Leiber and Stoller, Goffin and King and Pomus and Shuman.  The show highlights songs from Doc Pumus and Mort Shuman in recongnition of their extensive contributions to pop music and to the major artists of the day.  The show concludes with the Pomus/Shuman hit "Save the Last Dance for Me", a poignant expression of desire and fulfillment.
