In 2017, the Women’s March was formed in protest of the newly elected president, Donald Trump, with worldwide attendance estimated at over 7 million people. Now, in this important election year, much more is at stake, from impeachment, military conflict, and reproductive rights to immigration and gun violence legislation. Ordinary people, overwhelmed by the constant stream of political news, may wonder what they can do to make a difference. WYSO Community Voices producer Susan Byrnes tells the story of one such person in Cincinnati, Ohio, and what she did in her community.
