Joaquín (wah-keen) Zihuatanejo (zee-wah-ta-nay-ho), a former American slam poet who's the only one so far to win both the American Individual World Poetry Slam and the European World Cup of Poetry. He discusses poems based on life in his hometown of East Dallas and also talks about his early experience of growing up without his father and the impact it left on him. Zihuatanejo reads brutally honest poems from ARSONIST and reveals his outlook on the world to an audience at the Kansas City Public Library.
