A Voice Without Compare

I joined PRX specifically so that I could hear the end of this interview, which I had had to miss because I had to go to work. Bonnie Raitt just has that sort of pull on me. That throaty, sensual voice, that captivating guitar work: truly, there are few if any musicians, male or female, whom I would more prefer to listen to. She is a phenomenon, and I thank you for this vehicle where I could experience her at such length, in such depth.

Forever surprising

Real people, real music - in a world of glitz, glam and stage shows, here's a life of sweat, passion and guts laid out in interviews and song. Superbly executed, fast moving and, most importantly, emotionally moving. Inspiring and hopeful. A great life, and a great job profiling it.

BONNIE ROCKS!

As a life-long Bonnie Raitt fan and devotee, and a producer myself, I want to commend Paul Ingles for once again bringing us a tour de force!
"The Emergence of Bonnie Raitt" pays tribute to a woman who deserves an in depth, well-researched, highly produced documentary about a principled life, a kick-ass guitarist/singer/songwriter and all 'round extraordinary human being. Paul does all that and more! KCSM broadcast the 2 hour version during our Spring Pledge Drive and the phones rang off the hook! Thank you Paul!
