Review of The Pol Walk

This would be refreshing to hear in a news block in virtually any market! Boasts of a real humanness in this an election year, which is by definition soaked in partisan politics and bickering. Get out of the headlines and forget the photo ops if you want my vote, the piece seems to suggest.

Review of The Pol Walk

"The Pol Walk" is a delightful and refreshing reminder of someting we too often forget about democracy: that it's supposed to involve regular people. The rhythm of the piece serves its message well, and the sound behind it places the listener firmly on the door-knocking trail with the candidate. Would be a wonderful break from traditional campaign coverage.

Review of The Pol Walk

Wonderful montage of one candidate going door to door: her thoughts, the voices of those who find her at their door, lovely music rivering beneath the voices. I have a particular fondness for non-narrated pieces that allow us to just feel and think and experience with only the subtle direction of the producer to guide us. This piece made me smile and think about how wonderful people are, and about how one-on-one, campaigning can be a deeply human activity. sl
