an unusual piece about an ordinary afternoon. the melancholy tone of the music plays on the description of the woman with two euro wearing a pair of fake teeth. i love the description of the store, the wrinkled wrappers, and the all the other small details. it's short and funny; a little pick-me-up for that boring wednesday afternoon.
Whoa. This is ear twisting radio. Has anyone ever thought of using things like this in a fund drive? You know, when you have to cut out of ATC sooner than you would like because of the pitching need? I'd hate to see it get put on then, though. Deserves full attention.
In a minute and a half, listeners will go somewhere else with this piece. Would flow well as a module into TAL or the NEXT BIG THING as well as ATC/ME. Good stuff!
I think Mueller invented the short-list radio; I know she's perfecting it. An intriguingly different -- and successful -- music bed, the things she observes so well. I know we tend to target ME, ATC, etc. modules, but hear me, PDs: Just drop this in a couple of moments in your regular broadcast days as a little gift and surprise for your listeners.
