Modern Notion Daily is the radio extension of Modern Notion, a website for the ultra-curious that finds the science behind the story and the truth in every tale. It’s your middlebrow library for highbrow ideas. We tell stories about history, science, technology, culture and life. Modern Notion Daily is currently broadcast on WCGO Chicago and available as a podcast in the Hark! network.

Hark! is a network of podcast and radio shows and is owned by Waldo Media, an independent producer of digital media.

Pieces acquired by Hark!/Waldo Media would be used for our broadcast or podcasts--the producer will be informed of the specific show in which it would be used.

Payment

If your piece is purchased by Hark!, you will receive royalties in the form of:
$20.00 per minute

Agreement

Waldo Media is acquiring the nonexclusive rights to your piece for the following purposes:

-terrestrial broadcast
-live and/or on-demand internet streaming
-satellite and/or HD radio transmission
-digital download from website and/or as part of a podcast feed

Waldo Media may perform minor edits for length and scheduling, removal of intros, outros, funding credits, and other information not relevant to our organization and the context in which we will use your piece.

Waldo Media reserves the right to use excerpts of your piece for promotional purposes.

This agreement is between Waldo Media and you, the producer and is also governed by the PRX Terms of Use. PRX retains a 15% commission from each transaction.
