PRWW is now offering via PRX a new Series featuring live and recorded Big Band music hosted WEEKLY from the Erskine Hawkins Park at Tuxedo Junction in Birmngham, Alabama with a live outdoor audience -- and yet it has a unique studio sound and spins memories of yesteryear from original recordings and also new recordings of the most famous tunes that stem from the music of the swing-time war years.
      
Other special works via PRSS or PRX include special one-hour pieces made public at various times during the year on and off season for New Member and Renewal drives -- with several short promos spaced throughout the program segments. The current Spring-time special is A Tribute to the Life & Music of Don Ho (recorded in Hawaii with Don Ho a few months before his death in April 2007) and timed for release at the one-year anniversary as a memorial tribute -- http://www.PRX.org/pieces/22414.
