This piece was very moving and engaging. The mood was very strong which made the piece even more conpelling. As I started to listen to it, I became emotionally involved with what was going on for the mother and her son. It was so sweet to hear a 3 year old talk the way he was about his mom, but it made me rethink how much we take everything for granted. I don't think many people in this country ask for simple things for Christmas anymore, its all about materialistic things. For a child to ask for something that had no real value was incredible. The sounds in the background made the piece even more effective for me because of how simple it was, it just all seemed right.
